Terms & Conditions
All prices are in Australian dollar (AUD). Unless described otherwise, prices include local GST (Goods & Services Tax).
Where possible, we display dates in Australian format; DD/MM/YYYY, or DD Month YYYY.
Contractual Basis
Scope and Agreement: These terms and conditions apply to all contracts between Akorn Education and our customers. Any changes must be agreed upon in writing.
Acceptance: Paying a deposit or the program price in full means you accept these terms and conditions, creating a binding contract once we receive your deposit.
Specific Conditions: Some products may have unique terms, deposit requirements, and cancellation policies.
Supplier Terms: Customers are also bound by the terms and conditions of relevant suppliers. In case of conflicts, these terms and conditions will prevail for the contract with Akorn Education.
Booking and Payment
Quotation Validity: Our quotations are valid for 14 days.
Deposit: A 50% deposit of the total program cost is required to secure your booking.
Additional Deposits: Some programs may require extra deposits, which will be communicated before booking.
Last-Minute Bookings: Bookings made within 10 days of the program start date must be fully paid at the time of booking.
Final Payment: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, final payment must be received by Akorn Education at least 72 hours before the program begins.
Cancellation Policy
Full Refund: Cancellations made at least 14 days before the event date will receive a full refund.
Partial Refund: Cancellations made 13 to 8 days before the event date will occur in a non-refundable fee of 50% of the total tour price
No Refund: Cancellations made at least 7 days before the event date will occur in a non-refundable fee of 100% of the total program price.
Payment Failure: Akorn Education reserves the right to cancel a program if final payment is not received 72 hours prior to the event, in which case, the program becomes 100% non-refundable.
Non-Attendance: Notify us at least 48 hours before the program commencement date to be eligible for any refund or discount.
Minimum Participants: Programs proceed with a minimum of one participant; non-attendance does not alter this condition, and no refund or discount will be provided.
Program Cancellation: Akorn Education reserves the right to cancel any program due to unforeseen circumstances, offering a full refund or an alternative event/date.
Program Rescheduling: Akorn Education will endeavour to accommodate your request of rescheduling a booked tour. Third party supplier costs may occur and rescheduling is always depending on availability.
Duty of Care and Child Safety Code of Conduct

Damages, Cleaning, & Befouling
Health and Safety: Notify Akorn Education if students or teachers feel unwell.
Liability for Damages: Schools are liable for any significant cleaning or repair costs resulting from damage to Akorn Education equipment.
Property
Liability: Akorn Education is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings during programs.
Lost Items: Report lost items promptly. Found items will be returned to our office, and specific details must be provided to assist in retrieval.
Illness
Disclosure: Disclose any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect participation in the program. Akorn Education accepts no liability for losses due to such conditions.
Medical Issues: Notify Akorn Education of any medical issues during the program.
Children
Supervision: Children aged 5-17 must be accompanied by a teacher at all times, except for work experience programs where students are covered by Work Experience Arrangement forms.
Liability
Force Majeure: Akorn Education is not liable for any illness, injury, damages, loss, delay, or failure to join the program due to factors beyond our control.
Alterations: We reserve the right to alter program plans, itineraries & inclusions, and days of operation or cancel programs if unforeseen circumstances occur.
Special requirements: Akorn Education must be advised of any medical conditions or physical disability requiring special attention before the program. Failing to advise us, may result in us refusing to accept the booking. Akorn Education will try to help with the special requirements but cannot guarantee to do so, either on our own or our suppliers’ (such as catering/restaurants, activities, and excursions) behalf. Many of our programs involve light physical activities.
Car safety: Where a program participant occupies a seat fitted with a safety belt, neither Akorn Education, service providers, agents or co-operating organisations shall be liable for any illness, injury or death or any loss or damages or claims whatsoever arising from any accident or incident, if the safety belt is not being worn at the time of the accident or incident.
Communication Policy
Contact Information: We may use your provided information to contact you with booking information, updates, and promotions. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
Our rights to use information and media: We may reproduce, distribute, transmit, create derivative works of, and publicly display any materials and photos taken, or shared with, by us to any of our online social channels, websites, and other public areas. Identifiable images of students will not be used without signed media release forms. If you do not wish to comply with above use please contact Akorn Education in writing before commencement of your program.
Governing Law
Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
